Our model

Give Together is a giving circle where members pool their pledges to make one collective donation each year. By doing this, we can have a far greater impact in our community than if we were to give alone.

Have you ever wanted to make an annual donation but felt unsure about where to give or whether it would truly make a difference? Give Together offers a solution.

We are not a charity. Rather, Give Together is a platform through which individual philanthropists can give collectively to make their donation go further.

Children Embracing in Circle

We're built on three core impact principles:

Local impact, High impact, and Equitable impact.

Core impact principles

Local impact

We give where we live. By supporting local organisations, we empower them to create change within their communities. With members across Australia, ‘local’ means wherever you are, ensuring that our support stays rooted in the communities that need it most.

High impact

We focus on making meaningful contributions by supporting smaller organisations (typically with a turnover of $5M or less). We cut the red tape, with no reporting or acquittal requirements, allowing organisations to allocate funds where it will make the biggest difference.

Equitable impact

We fund organisations that might otherwise be overlooked, whether they lack resources for grant applications or their projects don’t fit conventional funding criteria. Our flexible approach ensures we support diverse organisations and projects, giving everyone the opportunity to thrive.

How it works

Our model works because it’s straightforward, member-driven, and incredibly impactful. It’s that simple.

1. Pledge

Each member contributes a minimum of $1,040 annually—just $20 per week. These pledges are pooled together to create one significant donation. The size of the annual donation varies depending on the number of members in any given year. With 50 members, for instance, the collective donation reaches $52,000.

2. Nominate

In April, members can submit proposals for organisations or projects they'd like to support. We provide easy-to-use templates, and organisations must have deductible gift recipient status.

3. Discuss

In May, members join a virtual meeting to review and discuss all proposals, helping everyone make informed decisions.

4. Vote

After the meeting, members cast their votes via an anonymous survey. The organisation with the most votes receives the pooled donation.

5. Close off

Once the donation is made, members receive a tax-deductible receipt for their $1,040 pledge. Our financial year runs from July 1 to June 30.

We have over 50 committed Givers - help us grow to 100.
